In this rayonistic interpretation of Uppingham market place, I used ‘hot’ colours to suggest a warm summer day. These paintings are fun to do as I enjoy choosing colours and working out how to make them work with other colours. I often change my mind as I go along, and most of the shapes have been painted over several times. Fortunately, good quality household emulsion covers my mistakes well.
