This painting shows the shops and flats that I pass on my short walk into the town centre. It includes a view of the maisonette above the Turkish barber where my granddaughter used to live. She and her partner loved living in the centre of town. Their wonderful sunny living room was a perfect place for ‘people watching’ and ideal for more paintable views of the dark limestone architecture.
