This painting of the famous venetian style bridge in central Oxford was one of two works that I made for the offices of our family solicitors in Summertown Oxford. I had heard that their offices needed ‘a bit of brightening up’, so to thank them for all they had done for us I decided to do a couple of contemporary versions of the local iconic architecture. I used gold acrylic paint in this work in order, I hoped, to add a little sparkle.
